The Bandstand Marathon first took place on the weekend of 27/28 September 2008 as part of the launch Open Weekend of the Cultural Olympiad and was organised by Music Development Agency, SUPERACT! In 2009, throughout Great Britain, over 150 concerts took place on 150 bandstands. The West Somerset Brass Band was chosen to participate in both 2008 and 2009. |
